Willie Spears goal is to motivate people to "Transforming Your life from Good to Great." That is the title of one of the six books he has written.

He motivates through his teaching as an ordained minister, a football coach athletic director, motivational speaker, and author. He wrote a weekly column in the Union Springs Herald newspaper that became a book of the collection of the motivational articles. The book's title is, Spears Makes His Point.

He said, "My latest book would not exist if it were not for the Herald newspaper and Union Springs. It was good to see everyone on the 4th."

The Union Springs Herald newspaper was host to a book signing for Willie Spears on the 4th of July, 2020, at Adams Pecan, where a vast amount of patriotic fireworks were being sold to celebrate America's birthday.

The selling and autographing of his books were in celebration of his impact on Bullock County in his years serving as head football coach at Bullock County High School. Several of the football team came to visit with their coach who had even baptized a number of the players.

The title of his latest book is "Spears Makes His Point" presenting his perspective on current events, religion, and politics. In this book, he shares his mistakes as a minister, teacher, father, husband, coach, administrator, and small business owner to motivate folks to learn from mistakes.

He has used his motivational skills as head football coach of six high schools and athletic director of three schools. Proving his success are several awards as a teacher, coach, student, and alum.

A native of Panama City, Florida, he married his high school friend Tankia in 2003, and they have two teenage children. He motivates them to write about their life experiences.

He motivates football players to do well academically for future success as an adult. His education includes earning a bachelor's degree in communications from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in Education from Troy University. Education continues in reading books and evaluation of life lessons learned.
