The 5th Sunday Hymn Sing of the ten Southern Baptist Churches of the Bullock Baptist Association was held in the First Baptist Church on Sunday night, September 29, 2019.

Mona Padgett was the M.C. and led the congregation in singing hymns. Pete Maddock played the piano for the singing by the congregation and the Mt. Carmel Church choir and the offertory. Of the twelve hymns sung by choirs, individuals and the congregation, six emphasized Heaven. There was singing about a mansion in the land where we'll never grow old, a day of rejoicing when we all get to Heaven, and the roll being called up yonder.

There we will see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the crystal river and the Father God standing at the door. There was singing about the precious name of Jesus, the sacrificial blood of Jesus, the wondrous love of Jesus, and that God knows our names and to count our blessings.

Collecting the offering to go to the Conecuh Springs Christian School were members of First Baptist Church: Hulen Barr, Kyle Curington, Dan Jacobsen and Clifford Dawson. Pastor Cannon of First Baptist Church gave the welcome and prayed the invocation.

Director of Missions of the Association, Gene Bridgman, gave the closing remarks and prayed the blessing for the buffet supper. The ten churches of the Bullock Baptist Association rotate in hosting the hymn sings on the 5th Sundays during the year. These churches are Eastside, Faith Baptist, First Baptist, Indian Creek, Inverness, Liberty, Loflin, Macedonia, Midway and Mt. Carmel.
