Greenwood-Fitzpatrick VFD has received the results of the ISO Public Protection Classification Survey, the new rating is 06/6X. Commissioner Barnett said the prior rating was a 9, with the financial support of the community and the many hours of hard work by the volunteers a three point improvement was achieved. Commissioner Barnett presented the department with a certificate of achievement and appreciation. Accepting the certificate is Mrs. Mattie Pritchett and her son Quincey, Mrs. Pritchett’s late husband Johnny was a founding member of the department and worked diligently to ensure that the department could provide the best services possible.

Poe, Jr. Members of the Bullock County ADC attended the Alabama Democratic Conference 59th Annual Convention on June 7 and June 8, 2019 at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa. The meeting was attended by several delegates from the State of Alabama. The keynote speaker for the luncheon program was the honorable Kamala Harris, U.S. Senator, California 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate. During her dynamic message, she emphasized the importance of organizing an order to encourage citizens to get out and vote in every election and especially in 2020.
